Walter Glen Tomblin Sr., age 89, of Jackson, Ohio passed away Saturday, September 10th, 2022, at Edgewood Manor of Wellston, Ohio. He was born February 5th, 1934, in Dunlow, West Virginia to the late William Albert and Elsie (Maynard) Tomblin.
Walter is survived by his children: Loretta Scott of Jackson, Ohio, Brookie (John) Varney of Jackson, Ohio, Walter Glen Jr. of Beaver, Ohio, Delilah (Mark) Kelly of Jackson, Ohio, David (Barbara) Tomblin of Orville, Ohio, and Willis Ray (Marsha) Tomblin of Jackson, Ohio; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren on the way; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Ruth Tomblin; 2 grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; three brothers: Willis Tomblin, W.A. Tomblin, and Claude Tomblin; six sisters: Augusta Romams, Odessa Blackburn, Dorthea Freeman, Mary Bachtal, Hazel Tomblin, and Georgia Ramey; and daughter-in-law, Mary (Mill) Tomblin.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, September 14th, 2022, from 12PM-2PM at Paul’s Chapel Church. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2PM with Elders Rex Maynard and Ray Williamson officiating. Burial to follow at Paul’s Chapel Cemetery.
