Viola Marie (Brown) Clarkson, age 96, of Oak Hill, Ohio, passed away July 20th, 2022. She was born August 30th, 1925, to the late Amos and Minnie (Carter) Brown.

Viola enjoyed tending to flowers, cooking for family and friends, and sewing. She devoted her life to God whom she loved undoubtedly. She enjoyed spending time with her loved ones as well as attending her church that she loved so dearly.

She is survived by her three children: David (Joyce) Clarkson, Diane (David) Wallace, and Rick Clarkson; her grandchildren: Mary Hess, Sabrina (Mark) Scurlock, Carolyn (Scott) Tucker, Cynthia (Mark) Ward, Ricky (Shannon) Clarkson, and Stacey Clarkson; as well as several great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Edward Clarkson; her son, Daniel Clarkson; her brothers: Art, Jake, and Lott Brown; her sisters: Betty Hammond, Avenelle Worland, Dorothy Fulk, Margaret Colb,y and Ruth Queen; and one grandson, Christopher Stiffler.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 22nd, 2022, from 5-8PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. Services will be held on Saturday, July 23rd, 2022, at 12PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill with Rev. Bryon Carmon officiating. Burial will follow at C.M. Cemetery.
