Stephen Duane (Tad) Gregory, age 49, of Wellston, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 28, 2024. He was born February 9, 1975, in Gallipolis, Ohio to the late Stephen Gregory and Joyce (Caldwell) Reynolds.
He is survived by his daughter, Cassidy Gregory, of Wellston, Ohio (Brian Chung); son, Nathaniel Gregory, of Florida; fiancé, Lori Ellis, of Wellston; brothers, Shon (Carissa) Gregory, and Ethan Cheatwood, of Wellston; grandmother, Eleanor Caldwell, of Wellston; uncles, Tony (Veronica) Caldwell, of Chillicothe, and Dwaine Caldwell, of Wellston. Also surviving are two nieces, one great niece and numerous cousins and many dogs that he adored.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandfather, Earl Duane Caldwell; aunt, Sherry McDaniel; uncle, Carl Caldwell.
Stephen attended Wellston High School. He went to work as a pipe fitter after school with Local Union #18. Steven was a foreman for Savko Construction and also, Igel Construction. Most recently he owned and operated L&S Construction and Plumbing.
Visitation hours will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025, from 1-3 at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home in Jackson. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at a later date. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
