Shirley Ann Daniels, age 83, of Jackson, Ohio passed away after a brief illness on April 20th, 2025, at the Ohio State Medical Center. She was born March 17th, 1942, in Jackson, Ohio to the late Frank and Gladys (Benson) Waugh.

Shirley and her beloved husband, Alfred, were co-owners of Alfred Daniels Trucking Inc. for 35 years and was then owner of S&D Transport. Shirley was also co-owner of A&A Truck Stop that opened on March 6th, 1991.

She enjoyed playing slots at the casino and bingo. She also cherished spending time with her family, especially gathered around the pool watching the children and grandchildren swim.

Shirley is survived by her children: Brian (Tammy) Daniels, Kathy (Mike) Pickett, and Randy (Bobbi) Daniels; grandchildren: Sean (Liza) Daniels, Kevin Daniels, Brad (Jamie) King, Amber (Jason) Montgomery, Brianna (Ben) Hoffman, Brenna (Bryce) Scott, and Seth (Carissa) Daniels; several great-grandchildren; brother, Larry Dean Waugh;  and special niece, Linda (Donnie) Loeffler.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Daniels; and siblings: Genevieve Graham, Frankie Waugh, Helen Taylor, Henry Waugh, Richard “Dick” Waugh, Betty Branscomb, Buddy Waugh, Brenda Mullins, and Roger Waugh.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 25th, 2025, from 5PM-8PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 26th, 2025, at 1PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson with Rev. Butch Cooper officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery.
