Scott David Lewis, age 57, passed away after a short battle with cancer at the James Cancer Center, on September 22, 2021. He was born February 6, 1964, in Chillicothe, Ohio to Carolee (Deis) Lewis and the late William (Bill) Lewis.
Scott graduated from Southwestern High School Class of 1982. He was a truck driver for Foster Sales & Delivery Inc. but had worked numerous other jobs, including driving for Gallia County Local Schools, Winters Concrete, Brian Davis Trucking, and A&M Commodities, just to name a few.
Scott was a volunteer fire fighter for the Centerville Volunteer Fire Department. He loved to farm and spend time with his cows and beagle dog, Diesel. His grandchildren were the light of his life and he loved playing with them and spending time with them. Scott was a Cincinnati Reds fan and enjoyed keeping up with the team.
He was preceded in death by his father, William (Bill) Lewis.
He is survived by his mother, Carolee Lewis, of Oak Hill; daughters, Alicia (Scott) Louderback, of Jackson and Desiree (Gary) Ashby, of Oak Hill; son, Adam (Jordan) Lewis, of Jackson; sister, Lynne Bowens, of Ironton; brothers, Wayne (Cindy) Lewis, of Jackson, Chad (Katey) Lewis, of Oak Hill; grandchildren, Trenten Nida, Colton and Taylin Davies, Hailee Hargett, Linden Lewis, and Luke and Chase Ashby. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews that he loved.
Friends may call Saturday, September 25, 2021, from 11-1 at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1:00 with Rev. Curt Arthur officiating.
