Roy Eugene Sherritt Sr., age 75, of Grove City, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 16th, 2024. He was born December 15th, 1948, in Gallipolis, Ohio to the late Roy and Rose (Gardner) Sherritt.
Roy worked 15 years with Nationwide. He was a member of the Apostolic Church of Truth where he served as a deacon and as a Sunday school teacher.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary (Oliver) Sherritt of Grove City, Ohio; daughter, Michelle Cornwell of Grove City, Ohio; son, Roy Sherritt Jr. of Grove City, Ohio; grandchildren: Herbert, Rachel, and Aaron; brothers, Bill (Barb) Sherritt of Jackson, Ohio and Ken (Helen) Sherritt of Piketon, Ohio; sisters, Linda Johnson of Wellston, Ohio and Kathy (Pat) Drake of Jackson, Ohio; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and church family.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, January 21st, 2024, from 2-4PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 22nd, 2024, at 1PM at the funeral home with interment to follow at Horeb Cemetery in Oak Hill, Ohio.
