Roger Landrum, age 71, of Jackson, passed away peacefully Friday, September 2, 2022, after a very long battle with health issues. He is finally at peace. He was born July 25, 1951, in Chillicothe, Ohio to the late JR and Betty Landrum.
Roger was a United States Veteran, serving in the Army. He was best known for his welding, and his love for his John Deere tractors and his three grandsons, Connor, Colby and Carter White and his great grandchildren, Oliver, and Alizabeth White.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Madelene (Ross) Landrum; his daughter, Shannon (Rich) Williams, of Chillicothe; brothers, Mike (Penny) Landrum, Mark (Barb) Landrum, and Terry (Dave) Landrum; sisters, Marsha (Sherm) Baisden, and Sandi Scott.
Roger had several special friends at Liberty General Store, also Russ Elliott, Pat Ball, Shawn Sexton, Roger Tieman, the Wiseman family, and Terry Hardesty and Dick McPhearson.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brother, Davey.
In keeping with his wishes there will be a visitation only, Wednesday, September 7, 2022, from 5-8 PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. After the visitation his body will be cremated. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 7023, Merrifield, VA. 22116-7023.
