Born on November 18, 1944, Minnie dedicated her life to caring for and protecting those she held closest to her heart. Her only concern in life was the safety and happiness of her family, and she spent every moment ensuring they were loved, supported, and cherished.

Minnie was the beloved wife of the late Donald Leroy Stapleton, with whom she shared 47 wonderful years of marriage until his passing on August 31, 2011. Together, they built a family rooted in love and resilience, a legacy that will continue for generations.

She is survived by sisters, Tishie (Bob) Wasmer, Paula Malone and Brothers Charles Delaney, Richard (Rita)Edwards, and Kennith (Pam) Edwards.

Her love extended even further to her grandchildren, Matthew, Paulina, Ryan, Waylon, Ashley, Christopher, Cierra, Brittney, Codey, Tori, Erin, Sydney, Shelby, Joey, DR, Taylor, Tatum, and Tad.

Her joy multiplied with the arrival of her great-grandchildren, Conner, Oliver, Zoey, Sage, Harrison, Silas, Hayes, Gracelynn, and Kyler Each one held a special place in her heart, and she found endless happiness in watching them grow.

Minnie was preceded in death by mother, Georgia Edwards; father, Richard Edwards; brothers, Gene Yates, and John Edwards; sister, Peggy Forby; and great-grandson, Shade.

Minnie’s presence was a source of comfort, strength, and unconditional love. She was a woman of quiet strength, always putting the needs of others before her own. Whether offering a warm hug, a listening ear, or a comforting gesture. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
