Maryellen (Flaker) Arnold, age 81, passed away on Sunday, February 19th, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was born September 7th, 1941, in Jackson, Ohio to the late Sheldon O. and Mary Ellen (Oney) Flaker.
Maryellen was a 1959 graduate of Jackson High School and remained a loyal Ironmen Fan as well as being an avid Ohio State Fan. From 1978-2017 she ran a successful business. She was a lifelong lover of dogs and was very involved in grooming, and various other realms within the dog lovers community such as being a owner and handler of championship show dogs.
She is survived by her son, Chris (Penny) Arnold of Lancaster, Ohio; grandson, Holden Arnold of Lancaster, Ohio; brother, Richard (Susan) Flaker; and nephew, Aaron Flaker and family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David L. Arnold.
No public services will be held per her request. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family at Fairmount Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
