Mary Helen Fisher, age 86, of Oak Hill, Ohio passed away Sunday, August 28th, 2022, at Adena Regional Medical Center of Chillicothe. She was born June 6th, 1936, in Jackson, Ohio to the late Lawrence and Dorothy (Sowards) Grimes.
Down through the years, Mary enjoyed reading-especially stories with happy endings, camping with her family, and fishing and was known to out fish everyone else. She always looked forward to college basketball season so she could cheer on her Kentucky Wildcats and if she was watching NFL, you can bet she was watching the Steelers.
Mary loved her family dearly and, on the day, she passed reminded her family to always tell your children how much you love them and how proud you are of them every day. Mary came from a big family and loved her family BIG!
She is survived by her sons, Steve (Lori) Fisher and Michael (Tina) Fisher; sister, Bonnie Grimes; daughter-in-law, Gretchen Fisher; 13 grandchildren: Brad (Misty) Fisher, Ashley (Richie) Erwin, Josh, Pete (Rachel), Josh Kiser, Lynzee Kiser, Hallee Kiser, Toree (Austin) Dean, Jordan (Hannah) Fisher, Zack (Ciera), Jamie (Mike) Mayes, Brandi (Jeramy) Strickland, Griffin Fisher; several great-grandchildren: Molly, Trevin, Boston, Maddox, Abby, Marshall, Sonny, Eden, Elijah, Miles, Lucie, Levi, Bristol, Kindal, and Findley.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, Ralph C. “Sonny” Fisher; son, Christopher D. Fisher; sisters, Phyllis Taylor, Patsy Taylor, Ruth Ann Downey, and Karen Jean McGlaughlin; and brothers, Jack Grimes, Tom Grimes, and Robert “Dip” Grimes; as well as two infant siblings.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 31st, 2022, from 1-3PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. Funeral services will immediately follow at 3PM with Pastor Cline Rawlins officiating. Burial will follow at C.M. Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
