Lily Lee (Roberts) Cavey, age 76, of Jackson, passed away late Sunday, December 15, 2024, at her home. She was born December 2, 1948, in Wellston, Ohio to the late Roy Roberts and Nora (Brown) Roberts.
She is survived by her daughters, Heather (John) Sorrell, and Staci (Kevin) Mercer; sisters, Jennifer (Harry) Holdren; brothers, Bo “Barry” (Kathy) Mahley, and Roy Roberts Jr.; grandchildren, Garrett Aldridge, Justyna Aldridge, Willow Aldridge, Kara Duhl, Ethan Mercer, and Gage Mercer; great-grandchildren, Tristan and Aria Aldridge, Coalton, Lily, Harper, Reily and McKenzie Duhl, and Mark Cavey. Also surviving are her nieces, Danielle and Lindsey; special cousins, Debbie Hollingshed and Sally Smith; and best friend of more than 30 years, Jenny Vance.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Mark Strosnider Cavey; brother, Terry Mahley; and grandson, Colin Cavey.
Lily graduated from Wellston High School in 1966. After school, she met and married her husband, Mark Cavey. She worked at Goodyear Tire and Rubber for 28 years. She helped raise several of her grandkids, she was an avid reader, especially fond of Stephen King books. Her grandchildren were a huge part of her life. She loved to sit in the garage with her friends and play euchre. She loved to read and watch anything Harry Potter related. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at 5:00 PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home in Jackson. Visitation will be held an hour prior. Burial will be held at a later date. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
