Joyce Jarrell, age 75, of Jackson, passed away Sunday, November 19, 2023, at Holzer Hospital in Jackson. She was born March 8, 1948, in Oak Hill, to the late Russell and Margaret (Farney) Wilson.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, David Jarrell; and grandparents, Harry and Gracie Wilson and James and Matha Farney.
Joyce is survived by her daughters, Bobby Jo Bethel and Lisa (Ralph) Crabtree; two grandchildren, Gage Boggs and Samantha Wills; three great grandsons, Maverick, Creed and Memphis Boggs and a special nephew that she considered a grandson, Austin Fisher; sister, Joann Canterberry; special aunt, Helen Logan; and several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
She graduated from Oak Hill High School in 1966. She owned and operated Lizzi Ma Antiques along with her husband. She was a mother and homemaker.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 21, 2023, from 4-8 PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home in Jackson. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
