Johnny Midkiff, age 71, of Oak Hill, Ohio passed away Tuesday, October 19th, 2021, at OSU East Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He was born September 17th, 1950, in Huntington, West Virginia to the late John Asa Midkiff of West Virginia and the late Rhoda (Cassle) Midkiff of Oak Hill, Ohio.
He loved hunting of all kinds, fishing, and teaching his grandsons to hunt and shoot guns. He loved sitting by a fire spending time with his family and catfishing with his wife.
Johnny is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Marilyn “Sue” (Phillips) Midkiff; daughters, Tina Midkiff and Crystal Glenn; five grandsons: Jonathan “Zachary” Midkiff, Dylan Shively, Garrett Shively, Kaleb Midkiff, and Kyle Midkiff; sisters, Sandra (Jack) Crabtree and Nancy Crabtree; brothers, Terry (Vicki) Midkiff and Ronnie Midkiff; sister-in-law, Pat (Chip) Carothers; brothers-in-law, Ron Phillips and Ken Phillips; special friends, Garry Salmons, George Snyder, Shane “Bubba” Hammer, Fred Bishop, Kelsey Hilderbrant, Kenny Wallace, Kaitlyn Bell, and Megan “String Bean” Lunsford; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by special daughter, Jennifer Logan Bishop.
