Ida Mae Keller, age 79, passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. She was born October 14, 1941 in Oak Hill to the late John Henry Hardin and Gladys (Aldridge) Walker.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of over 40 years, Melvin Keller; two sons, Charles “Bobby” Jenkins and John David Jenkins; one granddaughter, Ashley Jenkins; four great grandchildren, Dwayne, Emily and Alexis Stacey and Dwayne Horsley; one brother, Earl William Hardin; and one sister, Norma Jean Highfield.

Ida is survived by her children, Peggy McKenzie, of Portsmouth, Ohio, William (Teresa) Jenkins, of Oak Hill, Earl (Jo) Jenkins, of Wurtland, KY and Sally (Chuck) Truesdell, of Peebles, OH; step children, Brenda Long, of Oak Hill, Steve (Cindy) Keller, of Lucasville, OH, Melvin Keller, of Waverly, OH, Melissa (John) Schob, of Pedro, OH; twenty one grandchildren, thirty-four great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister, Nancy Jane Reed and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She went to school in Oak Hill, after school she started her family and was a full time mother. She enjoyed camping and Bingo. She enjoyed her family, especially her children and grandchildren.

Friends may call Sunday, March 7, 2021 at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1:00 with Pastor William Zink officiating. Burial will be in Blackfork Cemetery in Blackfork, OH. Per CDC guidelines and governor recommendations, everyone is required to wear a mask indoors and practice proper social distancing.
