My precious mother, Hester V. Lenegar, age 84, went home to be with the Lord on August 15, 2024, after a brief illness. She was born March 6th, 1940, in Jackson, Ohio to the late Floyd W. and Ruth (Wyatt) Coyan.
She is survived by her daughter, Camala (Kevin) Massie; grandson, Andy (Kelsey) Hendershot; brothers, Jack (Glenna) Coyan and Paul Coyan; and her sister, Ruth Spurlock; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray H. Lenegar; her brothers, Bill Coyan and Floyd “Boone” Coyan; sisters, Betty Brenneman and Ann Davis.
Hester graduated from Jackson High School in 1958. She was a homemaker and love to sew and decorate her home. She enjoyed spending time with her grandson, Andy, whom she loved more than anything.
Hester was a loving mother and grandmother, and she dearly loved the Lord. She will be sadly missed.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, August 20th, 2024, from 1PM-3PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson with a funeral beginning at 3PM. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
