Hayden Lewis Hammond, age 80, of Patriot, Ohio passed away on Sunday, January 23rd, 2022. He was born August 13th, 1941 in Gallipolis, Ohio to the late John Morgan and Zelda (Roese) Hammond.

Hayden worked at the Nock and Son Company from 1969-2009. He was a plant manager while employed there. He was also a member of the Gallia Baptist Church, the Gallia Baptist Cemetery Foundation, and was also a Greenfield Township Trustee.

He enjoyed basketball, horses, atv riding, and was an avid Pedro card player. He was a family man and was loved greatly by his family and he will be dearly missed by them all.

Hayden is survived by his wife of 60 years, Lori Hammond; children, Leon (Paula) Hammond and Vicky (Joe) Bryant; grandchildren: Kyle (Kyla) Bryant, Kaci Bryant (Travis Bays), Alyssa Hammond, Luke Hammond, Shae Hammond, and Chase Hanmnond; great-grandchildren: Natalie Bryant, Kace Bays, and Greyson Bays; siblings: Maudie (Jerry) Pinkerman, Brenda (Jackie) Lewis, and Morgan Ray (Cathy) Hammond; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Hayden was preceded in death by his sister, Dora Lee Davis; and brothers, Frank Hammond and Leon Davis Hammond.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 27th, 2022 from 5-7M at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. Funeral services will immediately follow at 7PM at the funeral home with Rev.
