Glenna “Jean” Jenkins, age 75, of Oak Hill, Ohio went to be with Jesus on November 17, 2024. She was born December 1st, 1948, in Beaver, Ohio, daughter of the late Grover and Bessie (Howard) Jenkins.
She is survived by her sisters: Marie (Herb) Shear of Piketon, Ohio, Janet Sue Hall of Oak Hill, Ohio, Connie Rhyan of Jackson, Ohio, Pamela Mastalir of Oak Hill, Ohio, and Judy (Ed) Mannering of Minford, Ohio; one brother, Harold (Suzanne) Jenkins of Oak Hill, Ohio; as well as many nieces and nephews whom she adored.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Georgia Faye Pemberton; two nieces, Rhonda Ferguson and Nina Mannering; one nephew, Kerry Hall; two brothers-in-law, Buck Pemberton and Paul Hall.
Jean added sparkle to life and was the life of the party! She loved family get-togethers, especially picnics and camping at Paint Creek. Some of Jean’s favorite things were singing, TikTok, dance parties with her nieces, sleepovers, scary movies, going to prom, babies, Jesus, and a good cup of coffee. Jean lived vicariously through the young people in her life and was always young at heart. Her smile and laughter were contagious. Her passing left a void here, but made Heaven much sweeter.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, November22nd, 2024, from 12-2PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 2PM at the funeral home with a burial immediately after at Hamilton Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
