Gertrude A. Scott, also known as Peggy McGhee, was called home on Monday, December 19th, 2022, at her home. She was born October 1st, 1933, in Massieville, Ohio.
Peggy worked as a waitress for over 25 years at Lee’s Steakhouse of Wellston. She enjoyed bingo and was a member of the Eastern Star Farmersville Chapter 155, and a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by her children: Gary (Karie) Scott, Donnie (Penny) Scott, Sharon Routzahn, and Penny Tucker; her husband in the eyes of the Lord, Paul McGhee; twenty-nine grandchildren; as well as several great-grandchildren.
Peggy was preceded in death by husband, Leo J. Scott; children: Kenny Hawkins, Dave McGhee, Danny Scott, and Deb Napier; grandsons, Zachary Scott, and Scott Gilbert; as well as two sisters and two brothers.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, December 22nd, 2022, from 11-1PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. Funeral services will follow at 1PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
