George E. Denny, age 77, of Jackson, Ohio passed away Friday, December 23rd, 2022. He was born February 21st, 1945, in Jackson, Ohio to the late Dora and George Denny.
George was a loving husband, dad, grandpa, and soon-to-be great grandpa. He was a funny, ornery, and a storyteller. He was a jack of all trades. During his lifetime he worked different jobs, retiring from the City of Jackson where he worked for over 30 years.
He is survived by son, George E. (Tina) Denny; daughter, Deana (Brian) Wiley; cherished grandfather to Joshua Wiley, Ryan Wiley, Abigail Denny (William Jr.) Erickson, Aaron Wiley, and Laura Wiley; brother, Ronnie Osborne and Joe Dearing; brothers-in-law, Russell (Mary) Browning and James “Beatle” (Sarah) Browning; sisters-in-law, Laura “Loretta” (Terry) Barnett, Rachel Young, Debbie Browning, and Cheryl-Lewis Browning; as well as several nieces and nephews.
George was the loving husband of the late Nora (Browning) Denny and was also preceded in death by brother, Terry Rainer; sisters, Mary (Ronnie) Dearing and Carolyn Skaggs; nephews, Colt Rainer, Matt Browning, Jerrod Snyder, Donnie Denny, and Billy Skaggs; and nieces, Diane Watkins and Ladora Lyons.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, December 28th, 2022, from 4-8PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson, Ohio. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 29th, 2022, at 11AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
