David Alan Lawler, age 66, of Jackson, Ohio passed away Wednesday, April 9th, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 17th, 1958, Atlanta, Georgia to the late Jack Raymond and Frances Jean Lawler.
David was a graduate of Eastwood High in Lucky, Ohio. After school he went on to work at Goodyear Tire & Rubber (Cambridge & Meridian) for 29 years where he met his wife, Ellen. He then worked 10 years at Kenworth Trucking Company until his health started to decline.
He was a family man and dedicated his life to each and every one of them. He enjoyed teaching and spreading his wisdom of guns, reloading, cooking, and gardening.
David is survived by his wife, Ellen (Hoops) Lawler; children: Heather (Tony) Murphy, Dana (Jeff) Davis, John (Staci) Lawler, Erin (Randy) Hughes; grandchildren: Andrew, Cassie, Payton (Dillon), Skylar, Ethan (Gabby), Drake, Paige (Braydon) Jordas, Allison, William, Alexis, and Audrey; great-grandchildren: Tanner, Amelia, Grayson, Harper, Colton, and Rachel; siblings: Dr. Jack (Caryn) Lawler, Becky (Dwayne) Austin, and his twin brother, Michael (Linda) Lawler; brother and sisters-in-law, Gayle (Dave) Rankin, Gary (Barbara) Hoops, and Keith (Betty) Hoops; as well as numerous nieces and nephews who he loved and thought a lot of.
He was preceded in death by his wife’s son, Thomas James Henry; his parents, Jack and Frances Lawler; brothers and sister-in-law, Allen and Patty Hoops, Joyce Balzer, and Jim Hanish.
David leaves a huge void in our hearts and big shoes to fill to carry on his legacy.
