Daryl W. Terry, age 75, of Jackson, Ohio went to see our Lord face-to-face on Monday, December 9th, 2024, at his home in Jackson, Ohio. Daryl was born January 23rd, 1949, to Doris Terry and the late Siegel Terry.

Growing up Daryl was very much interested in playing sports. He chose baseball and football at the Jackson Little League, Jackson High School, and Fairmount State College, where he received scholarships in both sports. His friends and colleagues have many great memories of those days and good times that filled their teenage years with Daryl’s ability, intelligence, and patience to “fix anything” . It was a good fit for him to seek employment pertaining to maintenance. He was employed at the Jackson Plastic Plant, the Goodyear Atomic Plant, and Ortho Organizers in Escondido, California. When he returned to Jackson in 1995, Daryl worked and apprenticed alongside his father-in-law, the late Arthur DeStephen in his real estate business, Appalachia Real Estate, as an appraiser.

Daryl,“Mr. Ford” himself, enjoyed his Mustangs, fishing, and playing his guitar. Daryl’s knowledge, intelligence, and an abundant of common sense led him to help anyone who needed a helping hand from his talented “healing hands” , that usually cured anything he touched.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Kathleen (DeStephen) Terry, whom he married on August 22nd, 1970. He is also survived by his mother, Doris (Leach) Terry; brother, Randy (Elizabeth) Terry; sisters, Melody (Bob) Mullins, Sandy (David) Workman, and Trish McCullough; sister-in-law, Jen Jacobs; brothers-in-law, Raymond DeStephen, the late Tony (Diane) DeStephen, Arthur Jr. (Donna) DeStephen, and Mike (Debbie) DeStephen; as well as numerous family and members and friends.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, December 30th, 2024, at Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home, 28 Harding Avenue, Jackson, OH 45640 from 11AM-12PM. Funeral Mass with Father Thomas Herge officiating will immediately follow at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 215 Columbia Street, Jackson, OH 45640. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery.
