Connie (Kuhn) Bowling, age 72, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 17, 2022, at her home in Johnson City Tennessee surrounded by her family. She was born in Oak Hill, Ohio on September 28, 1949, to the late Guy and Virginia (Rose) Kuhn.


Connie attended Oak Hill Schools and graduated from Oak Hill High School in 1969. She worked at Oak Hill Hospital when she lived in Oak Hill, then when her family moved to Marysville, Ohio, she worked at Careworks in Dublin, Ohio and worked there until she retired.


She was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians and the Ohio State Buckeyes. She enjoyed going to her grandson, Derrick’s ballgames and was always there cheering for him when she was able to be at his games.


Connie is survived by her husband, whom she married August 7, 1971, Charles “Chuck” Bowling; son, Charles “Jamie” Bowling; daughter, Carla Bowling; granddaughter, Chelsea Bowling (Miguel Lugo-Shevere); grandson, Derrick Bowling; great grandchildren, Azlynn Bowling, Parker Bowling, Miguel Lugo-Shevere Jr., and Juliana Lugo-Shevere. She is also survived by her three sisters, Barbara Conger, Kathy Key (Mark), Diana Hisle (Jim); her aunt, Ruby Luff; brothers-in-law, Joe Bowling, and Nick Bowling; nieces, Debra Boggs, Kristie Russell, Heather Jones; nephews, Craig Hisle and Mark Key II; and many more nieces, nephews and many cousins that she loved dearly.


In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Adrian and Ernest Bowling; brothers-in-law, Donald Bowling, Bill Conger and Cecil Dalton; and sister-in-law, Sherry Dalton.


A private graveside will be held at Horeb Cemetery with Pastor Stan Howard officiating. Burial will follow. Arrangements are under the direction of the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
