Billy F. Whitt, age 81, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, February 5th, 2022, unexpectedly at his home in Oak Hill, Ohio after a brief illness. He was born January 6th, 1941, in Firebrick, Ohio to the late James Walter “Bud” and Nora Viola (Brofford) Whitt.

Billy was a proud Vietnam Veteran serving in the U.S. Army from 1964-1966. He was a member of Blackfork Freewill Baptist

He is survived by his loving and faithful wife of 55 years, Beverly (Bowles) Whitt; two daughters, Lisa (Darrin) Jones and Bridget Lodwick; grandchildren: Derek Jones, Austin, Mikayla, and Brianna Lodwick; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Francis Pearl (Bill) Brock, Bonnie Juanita (Whitt) Freeland, Geneva Carole (Turley) Cooper, and Elizabeth Whitt; brother, Robert Lee “Bob” Whitt; sister-in-law, Shirley (Davis) Whitt; and two nephews, David Freeland and Christopher Whitt.

Billy was a kind and loving husband as well as an amazing father to his daughters, Lisa and Bridget. He would spend hours tinkering in his garage and had a fierce passion for cars. He enjoyed talking and sharing stories. But, the one thing he enjoyed the most was spending time with his family. Billy was so kind and that’s the way he chose to live his life. He will truly be missed my many.

A graveside service with military honors will be held on Friday, February 11th, 2022 at 1PM at South Webster Cemetery with Pastor David Staiger officiating. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
