Barbara Jean “Barb” Dickens, age 71, of Oak Hill, Ohio passed away Monday, December 2nd, 2024, at Holzer of Jackson. She was born June 24th, 1953, in Columbus, Ohio to the late William and Dorothy (Bennett) Sturgell.
Barb was a member of Monroe Chapel. She loved God, her children, and especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 49 years, Douglas Dickens; son, Ronald Dickens; daughter, Mary Dickens; stepchildren, Cindy Dickens and Angie Dickens; grandchildren: Brittany Woods, Tiffany Dickens, Dylan Kuhn, Robbie Carter, and Cameron Carter; great-grandchildren, Kirsten Blevins and William Woods; and siblings, Ronnie Sturgell and Dreama Ochs.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by stepsons, Douglas Dickens and Billy Dickens.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, December 5th, 2024, from 1PM-3PM. A funeral service will follow at 3PM with Pastor Randy Hughes officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
