Linda Irene Maynard, age 94, of Jackson, Ohio went to be with the Lord at 1:30PM on Saturday, September 12th, 2020 at Oakwood Community Health Center. She was born February 11th, 1926 at Stiltner in Wayne County, West Virginia the daughter of the late John McClellan and Mae (Fry) McClellan.
Irene was a very active, energetic, and creative woman. She was a homemaker, beautician, and farmer’s wife. She loved her family and she was deeply loved by them. She loved attending and was a member of the First Baptist Church. She enjoyed meeting with her lady friends for monthly luncheons, gardening, and she loved to travel.
She is survived by her children: Judy (Roger) Ross, Donna Haner (Jim Bachtel), and Kenneth (Marilyn) Maynard; grandchildren: Mark (Tracy) Ross, Nanette “Irene” Sullivan, Tim (Carla) Ross, Tonya Mae Ross, Kendra (Chris) Maness, and Mindy (Aaron) Bapst; great-grandchildren: Kristy Ross, Kirk Ross, Zak Ross, Roger “RJ” Ross, Lena Ross, Rusty (Ashley) Maness, Brooklyn (Tyler) Handley, Makayla Meredith, Emma Bapst, and Jorja Bapst; great-great-grandchildren: Jenny Burns, Macelyn Meredith, and Julie Burns; brothers: Johnny (Margaret) McClellan and Lonnie McClellan.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Maynard; granddaughter, Jennifer Meredith; grandson, Dennis Sullivan; and siblings: Samp (Bea) McClellan, Sara (Woody) Jackson, Marie Lycans, Lucian (Jane) McClellan, Ethel (Mike) Harkolovich, Georgia (Walter) VanHoose, Beatrice (Eddie) Kucera, Virgie England, and Andy (Violet) McClellan.
Services will be held on Wednesday, September 16th, 2020 at 1PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson with Rev. Herman Stewart officiating. Calling hours will be held starting at Noon the day of the service. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery.
