Robert Garland Caudill, age 74, residing in Cordele, GA., with his daughter and son-in-law, Chloie and Carl Coffey, formerly of Beaver, Ohio passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at Navicent Health Care in Macon, Georgia. He was born on January 23, 1944 in Kermit, West Virginia to the late William and Chloie (Whitt) Caudill.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his love of many years, Sharon (Sweeney) Caudill; brothers, William Caudill Jr., Charles, Johnny, Alvin Caudill; sisters, Thelma Newsome, Dixie Meade, Zella Webb and Brenda Young; and grandson, Aaron Sweeney.

He is survived by his children, Krystal Sweeney, Sandy Sweeney, Cheryl Sweeney, Robert Caudill Jr. and Chloie (Carl) Coffey; twelve grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; brother, James Caudill; sisters, Shirley Estep and Lois Ratcliff.

Robert was a great carpenter, even owning his own carpentry business earlier in his life. He still enjoyed doing wood-working in his older age. He loved making his pinto beans and skillet bread, collecting guns, knives. Earlier in his life, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, playing guitar, singing with family and friends.

Friends may call Thursday, January 10, 2019 from 11-2 PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. Services will be held following the calling hours at 2:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Stan Howard officiating. Burial will follow in Beaver Union Cemetery.
