Imogene McGhee, age 93, of Oak Hill, Ohio went home to be with her Lord Sunday, January 28, 2018. She was born August 15, 1924 in Oak Hill to the late Thomas and Marie Jenkins. She married James McGhee on March 7, 1947.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James McGhee and infant twin siblings.

She is survived by her nieces, Sheila and Sharon; and nephews, Danny, George and Tim. She is also survived by a special cousin, David; and several great nieces, nephews and great-great nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.

Imogene graduated from Oak Hill High School, she worked her whole life at Jenkins Grocery. She was a member of Oak Hill Presbyterian Church, where she attended regularly until moving to assisted living. She was also a member of the women’s association and Eastern Star. She loved working at the church in all of their events. She was known for her baking and cooking. At church dinners everyone looked for her deviled eggs and loved her homemade rolls. When she made a batch, she shared with friends and family.

Friends may call Saturday, February 3, 2018 at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home in Oak Hill from 11-1 PM. Services will follow at 1:00 PM Saturday with Linda Plummer and Herman Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in C.M. Cemetery in Oak Hill. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
