Kimberly Messer, age 44, of Jackson, Ohio went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 7th, 2017 after battling cancer. She was born July 10th, 1972 in Williamson, West Virginia to Nicky Bowen and Mary Roddy.

She is survived by her mother, Mary Roddy; son, Shane Messer; husband, Rick Messer; sister, Nicole Bowen; brother, Jason Roddy; father, Nick Bowen; aunts: Patty Wriston, Cathy Woods, Sharon Baumgardner, and Lisa Reedy Sparks; special friend, Mary Thorton; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Maxine Wilhite, step-father, Glenn Roddy; and aunt, Carol Guzick.

Kim was so full of life and always had a smile on her face. She loved her family, her animals, and her work. She was loved by many and will be sadly missed.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 9th, 2017 from 4-8pm at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 10th, 2017 at 1pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Ridgewood Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
